Frequently Asked Questions
What is the resolution that you scan at? We scan at 300 dpi, however, we can scan at up to 1200 dpi on the photo scanner for an increased cost
How do we get the photos to you? You can set up an appointment to drop them off at our San Clemente location, or we can arrange a pick up at your location for an extra charge. If you're not in the area you can send them to us, but we encourage you to insure the package and have delivery confirmation as well. The images will be sent back to you insured with delivery confirmation. Shipping charges will be added to your order.
What do you do with the photos once they're scanned? We scan your images onto the device that you provide us. We recommend a 4G (or higher) flash drive or memory card. We can also provide a memory card or flash drive for you at cost.
How do we organize the photos prior to our appointment? For photos, we recommend that you remove the images from the albums and put them in stacks by size, having them face the same direction. You can band them together or separate them by event in envelopes.
How long does it take to scan them? Typically we can do about 100 photos in 3 minutes, for clean, organized images. Any extra services will require a bit more time (retouching, rotating, and cropping)
